In the State of Maine, there are two kinds of people: those that live there and those that “summer” there. Since I have returned to live here I have always believed that both kinds of people have gifts to give and strengths to bear challenges; I have learned from both kinds of people, wherever I have lived—Maine, Philadelphia, Wellesley, Massachusetts, Vermont, Washington, D.C., Arlington, Virginia, Monterey, California, and France.
I’m looking forward to this time in my life—with an enlarging extended family—when I get to give back in my personal ways—through the creation of drawings, paintings, perhaps more buildings, and writings. It won’t always be “pretty”, -please see the work WMD04: Baghdad Beauty,- but I hope it will mean something to you.
